Committee Purpose:

The purpose of the Riverview School District Financial Advisory Committee is to act as "budget ambassadors," establishing a crucial link between the district and the community. Our committee members will serve as advocates and communicators, ensuring that residents are well-informed about the district's budgetary decisions and financial priorities.

Together, we aim to develop a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of state funding for schools in Washington, familiarizing ourselves with relevant policies and regulations that impact the district's financial landscape. Our collective effort will involve a thorough examination of the district's financial records, exploring revenue sources, expenditures, and overall financial sustainability.

We actively encourage committee members to provide feedback, ask questions, and share concerns. The district is dedicated to transparency, disseminating information about its fiscal status to foster trust and accountability in financial matters.

Although this is not a decision-making committee, the insights gathered from community feedback will be utilized by the district to make informed and responsible budgetary decisions. The committee's perspectives will play a crucial role in shaping a budget that is not only financially sound but also aligned with the needs and priorities of the community.
